The Breaking Point
I used to think “healthy” meant functioning. If I could get through the day, keep the kids alive, meet deadlines, and put dinner on the table, then surely I was doing fine. But the pandemic cracked that illusion wide open. Like so many of us, overnight I became the centre of a constantly running household — working, teaching, cooking, comforting, troubleshooting.
My mind was overloaded. My body was running on fumes. My brain never shut off.
What looked like resilience on the outside was actually depletion on the inside. I felt trapped in a cycle of doing everything for everyone while quietly falling apart myself. That was the moment I knew something had to change.
The Missing Manual
When I finally paused, I realised I had spent years keeping my family going without understanding how to truly fuel us. Not because I didn’t care — but because most of us were never taught how food shapes our energy, mood, focus, hormones, or resilience.
Our parents weren’t withholding this knowledge; it simply didn’t exist yet. The science wasn't there. Today it is, and it continues to evolve. Discovering it reshaped everything I thought I knew about nourishment, stress, and wellbeing.

But knowing the science wasn’t enough. I needed a way to apply it in the real world — the world where dinner happens between work calls, where kids refuse vegetables, where stress hijacks appetite, and where nobody has time to measure chia seeds at 7 a.m.
So I built a system: a practical, flexible, real‑life‑proof approach to nutrition that supports your brain, your body, and your bandwidth. No perfection. No overwhelm. Just tools that fit into the life you’re already living.
This is the foundation of my work as Nutritional Coach today: helping people — big and small — reclaim their energy, clarity, and confidence through nutrition that is simple, science‑backed, and sustainable.
